No, look, I don't get these kinds of feels for Storm from the Hama comics (even though he's still more interesting than Snake Eyes), because he was a grown-ass soldier and fully trained ninja when all the crap with Arashikage went down. He had more emotional resources and means to cope. Movie!Storm was a manipulated child that everyone he knew turned against. Literally everyone. It's even explicit in the prequel stuff...
